LSPx Homepage Redesign & Design Readiness Tracker – Feature Summary
This redesign of the LSPx homepage focuses on modernizing the user interface and streamlining critical workflows. These features will increase user productivity. For a full guide on the new homepage please refer to the Tool Install Schedule documentation.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Guided Product Tours | Interactive, step-by-step tour guides have been implemented to guide users through the new homepage features and layout changes upon their first visit. This tour guide will be utilised in any future user interface or module specific updates. |
Revamped Title Bar & Modern UI | A redesigned, modern title bar provides a clean and consistent user experience across the application. It consolidates navigation and key actions into an intuitive layout. The modern look and feel aligns the application with current design standards, making it more user-friendly and intuitive. A new "Modules" menu for accessing modules (RODs, DCRs, etc.) makes navigation easier. When a user does not have access to a module, then that module’s icon will be greyed out. ![]() |
Unified Search Functionality | A powerful, centralized search field in the title bar, allows users to find all records (RODs, DCRs, DACs, etc.) related to a tool from anywhere in the application. It also shows records from other tools that mention the searched tool in their key fields. Users can also search for a CEID to get all tools of that model’s tools and any other records than refer to the CEID.![]() Users no longer need to navigate to different modules to find related information. A single search query gathers all relevant data. You can then follow the links to bring you directly to the relevant record. The system saves the last 10 searches per site, allowing users to quickly re-access frequently needed information. ![]() |
Design Readiness "Traffic Light" Indicators | Key columns in the tool install schedule, such as "DAC Status" and "POC" (Point of Connection), will now feature color-coded backgrounds (Green, Orange, Red). Users can instantly assess the design readiness of multiple tools at a glance without needing to click into each one, providing a clear visual summary of project health. Red and orange indicators immediately draw attention to tools that are blocked or at risk, enabling managers to intervene before delays occur. ![]() |
Role-Based & Customizable Grid Views | We have introduced six pre-configured, fixed views tailored to specific roles (e.g., Design Manager, Tool Coordinator) and a fully customizable "My View". The system defaults to the most relevant view based on the user's role. "My View" allows each user to tailor the grid to their specific needs, showing only the columns that matter to them. Unlike the fixed views, changes to the columns shown, the column order and column widths in "My View" are automatically saved. The system remembers which of the views you last used on each site and returns you to that view when you access the application again. ![]() |
Row Filtering | A new row filter enables users to reduce the number of tools in the tool install schedule grid and for those changes to be retained. By default, only POR tools which are in active projects are listed. Users can further reduce the list by using "My Tools" which filters to tools where you have been added as a stakeholder, or "My Firm’s Tools" which shows all tools where your company is either an AE firm, or a trade company associated with the tool. ![]() Your options are saved for each site you work on. Note that only tools that match all the options checked will be listed in the grid. |
Column Filtering & Clear filters | When filtering on individual columns on the tool install schedule, the filtered columns are highlighted so as you can see what columns are filtered.![]() A new "Clear Filters" button has been added to make it easier to go back to the full tool list. ![]() |
Export to Excel | A new "Export" button on the tool install schedule allows users to download the current view of the tool install grid—including only the visible rows and columns—directly into an Excel file. Use the row filter feature and column filters to get the tools you want and then export.![]() |
